In late February, Troop 111 set out to help those in need by participating in Scouting for Food. Scouting for Food is an annual event where scouts collect food generously donated by local families to donate it to local food banks. About a dozen of our scouts participated handing out fliers to houses. Luckily we did not get rained out this year, unlike last year. The weather was also in favor when we collected foods a week later. In total, hundreds of cans and boxes of non-perishable foods were collected. All of the food was donated to the Sacred Heart Food Pantry. Thank you to everyone who generously donated their food and time to this event!
